A total of 494 people voted early this week for Tuesday’s primary runoff elections, according to figures released by County Clerk Melody Appleton.
A total of 484 people voted in the Republican Party runoff election, which features two races with local interest. Ten people voted early in the Democratic Party runoff.
Two polling locations will be open on Tuesday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
All Scurry County voters who vote in the Pct. 3 Scurry County Commissioners’ Court election  will vote at the Towle Park barn. Residents who vote in boxes 8, 9 and 10 will cast ballots at the barn, Appleton said.
All other voters will cast ballots on the first floor of the Scurry County Courthouse.
Voters will have to provide election judges with a valid photo ID before casting ballots.
The Republican Party nomination for the Pct. 3 commissioners’ court seat will be determined between Howard Limmer and Shawn McCowen.
Jodey Arrington and Glen Robertson will meet for the Republican Party nomination for the District 19 U.S. House of Representatives seat.
Other Republican Party runoffs will be for Railroad Commissioner (Gary Gates and Wayne Christian), the Place 2 seat on the Court of Criminal Appeals Court (Mary Lou Keel and Ray Wheless) and the Place 5 seat on the Court of Criminal Appeals (Scott Walker and Brent Webster).
The only Democratic Party runoff will be for Railroad Commissioner between Grady Yarbrough and Cody Garrett.
Appleton said since both parties will have a runoff, voters may only cast ballots in the primary in which they voted on March 1.
Anyone who did not vote on March 1 is eligible to vote in the runoff they choose, she said.
Results from the election will be posted on the Snyder Daily News website (snyderdailynews.com), as well as the newspaper’s Facebook and Twitter pages once announced by Appleton.
