More Patterson drilling rigs operating in U.S.

Patterson-UTI Energy, Inc., reported it had more average drilling rigs operating in the U.S. in January compared to December.

In January, the company had an average of 76 drilling rigs operating in the U.S. and two rigs in Canada. In December, Patterson had an average of 71 drilling rigs operating in the U.S. and two rigs in Canada.  

In January 2016, Patterson had an average of 78 drilling rigs operating in the U.S. and four rigs in Canada.

Average drilling rigs operating reported in the Company’s monthly announcements represent the average number of the company’s drilling rigs that were operating under a drilling contract.
