The Scurry County Library received the combination 1040/1040-SR instruction booklets late Friday, and they are now available.
The library also has 1040 and 1040-SR forms, together in one booklet.
The booklets include Schedules 1, 2 and 3 and are all available for free.
The library has computers available for public use, which can be used to file tax documents online. A person may sign up to use a computer with their library card or their current driver’s license.
The library is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday; 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday; and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.
Later this month, the American Association of Retired Persons (AARP) will have volunteers available at the Scurry County Senior Center to help low- and middle-income taxpayers file income tax forms.
Volunteers will be in Snyder on Feb. 18, Feb. 19 and March 26.
Volunteers will also be available in Colorado City at the Mitchell County Library on Feb. 27 and March 19 and at the Fisher County Courthouse on March 4.
Taxpayers should bring last year’s tax returns; 2019 tax documents, including Social Security statements, all W-2 or 1099 forms and health insurance 1095 forms; Social Security cards for each person listed on 1040 forms; bank information for direct deposits; and receipts for itemizing deductions
