Most Snyder High School students passed the state-required end-of-course (EOC) exams this spring.
Superintendent Jim Kirkland announced the passing rates for each of the five tests this week.
“We are obviously disappointed in the EOC scores,” he said. “We are, however, encouraged by the STAAR (State of Texas Assessment of Academic Readiness) scores received so far and we are anxiously awaiting the final report. We are confident that overall Snyder ISD is making progress.”
On the biology exam, 89 percent of the students passed while 74 percent of the students passed the U.S. history test.
Sixty percent of students passed the algebra I test and 50 percent of students passed the English I and English II exams.
