Nine people indicted by Scurry County grand jury

Nine people were arrested this week after they were indicted by a Scurry County grand jury.
Tracy Ward Braziel, 26, of Snyder, was indicted on a first-degree felony charge of aggravated assault against a public servant. Braziel is accused of intentionally striking Snyder Police Department Officer Tanner Garcia in the head with a rock on May 26 when Garcia was attempting to detain him.
His bond was set at $20,000.
Caleb DeShawn Green, 23, of Snyder, was indicted on a first-degree felony charge of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. His indictment charged him with possessing, with intent to deliver, more than four grams but less than 200 grams, of cocaine.
Green’s bond was set at $20,000.
Jose Valente Alcaraz, 47, of Snyder, was indicted on a third-degree felony charge of assault, family violence. He is charged with causing bodily injury to a family member by impeding his victim’s breathing by choking on June 12.
His bond was set at $5,000.
Victor Alfonso Terrazas, 34, of Snyder, also was indicted on a third-degree felony assault, family violence charge. His indictment states that, on June 11, he choked a member of his family, impeding the breathing or circulation of the victim.
His bond was set at $5,000.
Anthony Diego Martinez, 24, of Snyder, was indicted on a third-degree felony charge of evading arrest with a vehicle. He is accused of fleeing from law enforcement on April 26.
Martinez’ bond was set at $5,000.
Sabrina Gutierrez Perez, 44, of Midland, was indicted on a third-degree charge of driving while intoxicated, third or more offense. She is accused of operating a motor vehicle on April 14 while having a blood alcohol concentration of at least 0.08.
Her bond was set at $5,000.
Leslie Wayne Vantine, 67, of Snyder, also was indicted on a third-degree felony driving while intoxicated charge. He is accused of operating a motor vehicle while having a blood alcohol concentration of at least 0.08 on May 23.
His bond was set at $5,000.
Matthew Christopher Marquez, 35, of Snyder, was indicted on a state jail felony charge of burglary of a building. His indictment stated that he illegally entered a building in Scurry County on May 18 with the intent to commit theft.
His indictment has been enhanced by two prior felony convictions, for possession of a controlled substance in 2014 and felony theft in 2016. Both prior offenses were committed in Scurry County.
Marquez’ bond was set at $5,000.
Misty Dawn Doty, 35, of Snyder, was indicted on a state jail felony charge of possession of a controlled substance. She is charged with possessing less than a gram of methamphetamine on Jan. 28.
Her bond was set at $5,000.
