Weekend Edition Sept. 19-20, 2015 Police Blotter:

• Arrests

A 20-year-old male was arrested at 3:39 p.m. Friday in the 900 block of 30th Street on a Scurry County warrant to motion to proceed with adjudication of guilt on an original charge of possession of marijuana.

At 4:40 p.m. Friday, a 33-year-old male was arrested in the 600 block of East Coliseum Drive for driving while license invalid.

A 27-year-old male was arrested for public intoxication at 12:50 a.m. today in the 2600 block of El Paso Ave.

At 1:07 a.m. today, a 40-year-old male was arrested in the 3600 block of Hill Ave. for criminal trespass.

• Theft

A person in the 1000 block of 27th Street, at 8:52 a.m. Friday, reported a vehicle was taken by an individual on Wednesday and had not been returned. An offense report for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle was filed.

A phone was taken from a residence in the 100 block of Ash Street, according to a call at 6:12 p.m. Friday.

• Fight

Two female juveniles were released into the custody of their parents following a fight at the softball fields in Towle Park. Police were notified of the fight at 9:53 p.m. Friday.

• Phone scams

A person in the 3100 block of Gary Brewer Road reported, at 2:40 p.m. Friday, he received a call from someone claiming to be from the IRS demanding payment or they go to jail.

Employees with the Purple Sage Motel and Beacon Lodge, at 5:50 p.m. and 5:56 p.m. Friday, reported receiving a call from a person claiming to be from the Snyder Water Department. The person told the employees that payment should be made on the water bill over the phone or the water would be shut off. The Beacon Lodge employee told dispatchers that he contacted the water department, who said they did not make the call.

• Criminal mischief

A woman in the 3700 block of Hill Ave. reported a male was breaking the  windows of a residence during a family disturbance. The call was made at 5:17 p.m. Friday.

• Accident

A two-vehicle accident was reported at 7:59 p.m. Friday in the 3900 block of Austin Ave.

• Loud music

Loud music was reported at the intersection of Ave. E and Huffman Ave. at 10:31 p.m. Friday and in the 2200 block of Ave. O at 10:56 p.m. Friday.

• Animal concerns

Cattle were reported loose in the 3800 block of CR 146 at 1:23 p.m. Friday.

At 7:21 p.m. Friday, a report of five dogs at-large was made from the 2900 block of Ave. U.

An employee at Cogdell Memorial Hospital reported treating a dog bite victim at 12:32 a.m. today.

• Friday blotter notes

Scurry County EMS responded to four medical calls.

Seven non-accident, traffic-related calls were received.

Seven alarms were reported.

Four close patrols were requested.

Two welfare checks were requested. 

Law enforcement responded to eight civil issues.
