A local restaurant known for its sizable portions will featured on a syndicated TV show.
Ponderosa Restaurant and Motel will be featured on The Texas Bucket List this weekend, show representatives said in an email. The restaurant earned the show’s “Bucket List Bite of the Week” designation.
Show host Shane McAuliffe was in Snyder recently and visited the restaurant. Part of this weekend’s broadcast will feature McAuliffe tackling one of the Ponderosa’s signature offerings, a huge burrito filled to the brim with barbecoa and birria.
Restaurant owner Luis Contreras has operated the Ponderosa Restaurant since 2001 and runs the business along with his wife, Lucia.
The show will be broadcast at 4 p.m. Sunday on cable channel 4 in Snyder.
The show has been nominated for multiple Lone Star Emmy Awards.
