A Snyder man will serve his original sentence on a DWI charge after his probation was revoked in District Judge Ernie B. Armstrong’s courtroom recently.

Royce Wayne Hodges, 51, was given a 10-year probated sentence in July 2018 after he entered a plea agreement on a third degree felony charge of driving while intoxicated.

At that time, he was also ordered to pay a $1,500 fine and $1,128 in court costs and attorney fees.

His probation was revoked after he used alcohol on October 9, 2019 in Desha County, Arkansas; failed to report to his probation officer in Desha County in November 2019, failed to report to his probation officer in Scurry County in October and November 2019 and failed to make his monthly payment for court costs and attorney fees in October and November 2019.

The charge stemmed from a May 2018 incident when Hodges was operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated.
