Promoters have until May 31 to apply for chamber HOT funds

Groups planning to file a hotel occupancy tax (HOT) fund application with the Snyder Chamber of Commerce have until May 31 to submit an application.
Organizers planning to seek funds for events in August, September or October are eligible to apply for HOT funds. Applications are available at the chamber office.
The HOT fund committee will tentatively hear presentations on the applications beginning at 5:30 p.m. June 10.
This year, the chamber’s board of directors will withhold 12.5 percent of what is allocated until the 60-day post-event analysis is submitted. Once the final report is submitted, the final payment will be sent to event organizers.
