The Scurry County Library’s summer reading program kickoff program at 10 a.m. Wednesday will feature magician Harlin Rhodes.
Lisa Hartzog, children’s librarian, said 80 children have registered for the program and she is expecting more to sign up at the kickoff.
“I am really excited and think it will be something fun to keep kids reading in the summer.” Hartzog said. “It will keep kids reading for enjoyment instead of what is assigned to them.
