Reservations are being accepted for the Feb. 16 Scurry County United Way campaign awards luncheon.
Feb. 8 is the deadline to reserve a seat at the luncheon, which will be held at Martha Ann Woman’s Club. Tickets are $11 each and may be purchased be calling 573-5311.
The campaign surpassed its $120,000 goal and proceeds from Saturday’s furniture sale at the former West Texas State Bank building will be added to the total.
In addition to the agencies receiving the first part of their allocations, four Jack and Ann Smartt awards will be presented during the luncheon.
The nine local agencies that the United Way supports are Gateway Family Services, Boy Scouts-Buffalo Trail Council, Girl Scouts of Texas-Oklahoma Plains, Snyder Day Care Center, the Snyder Volunteer Fire Department, the Scurry County Food Cupboard, West Texas Children’s Advocacy Center, Cancer Services Network and Snyder We Care.
