Sanchez 18-month drug sentence appeal dismissed

A Snyder woman’s appeal of a felony drug sentence was dismissed by the 11th Court of Appeals on Thursday.
Ashlle Marie Sanchez appealed her 18-month sentence for delivery of a controlled substance. She was found guilty in October 2015 in 132nd District Court by a six-man, six-woman jury.
According to court records, the appeals court in Eastland “inspected the record in this cause and concludes that the appeal should be dismissed.”
The appeals court said, in court documents, Sanchez, 23, was charged with delivering less than one gram of methamphetamine.
