Scurry County’s unemployment rate continued to recover from its May peak, with the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) reporting that Scurry County had a 7.7 percent unemployment rate in August.
That figure is down from July (8.9 percent) and June (9.7 percent). The unemployment rate reached 12.4 percent in May.
