Snow, rain in weeklong forecast for Scurry County

The National Weather Service is forecasting a slight chance of snow for Tuesday morning, but it will turn into rain during the afternoon hours.
The weather service said Scurry County could see snow prior to noon Tuesday and then a 20 percent chance of rain. The high will be in the mid 40s during the day and drop to the upper 30s during the evening.
On Tuesday night, the weather service is forecasting a 20 percent chance of rain.
The chances will increase to 30 percent on Wednesday with a high near 53 degrees. On Wednesday night, the chance of rain will drop to 20 percent with the highs in the upper 30s.
Thursday’s forecast is calling for clear skies with a high near 60 degrees. On Friday, skies will be sunny with highs in the upper 50s.
The weather service is forecasting a slight chance of rain for Saturday, but temperatures will remain in the 50s.
In 2015, Snyder received 31.20 inches of rain, the most since 32.65 was recorded in 2007.
The 2015 total also marked the 10th time since 1902 that Snyder received more than 30 inches of rain in a calendar year.
