The Snyder ISD board of trustees is scheduled to interview two search firms for its superintendent search on Thursday.
The board will meet at 4:30 p.m. to conduct 30-minute interviews with Ronnie Kincaid, the executive director of the Region 14 Education Service Center, and Bob Griggs of Bob E. Griggs and Associates.
During their Sept. 9 board meeting, trustees agreed to conduct the interviews. Superintendent Jim Kirkland’s contract expires in June. The board has used both in previous superintendent searches.
Board member Carrie Richardson said during the September meeting that she wanted the board and community to have input on the search. Board chairman Ralph Ramon said that he would like the board to know who would be applying for the position.
Kirkland said all of those issues could be included in the agreement with the firm.
The interviews will be held in the administration boardroom and are open to the public.
