Snyder ISD to crown district spelling bee champion Tuesday

Twelve Snyder ISD students will compete Tuesday in the district spelling bee.

Third through eighth grade students competed in grade-level spelling bees in January, and the top two finishers from each grade advanced to the district bee.

Representing Snyder Primary School are third graders Ayann Kanji and Carson Graf.

Representing Snyder Intermediate School are fourth graders Tuff Leatherwood and Ashlyn Palacios and fifth graders Yasmin Thamez and Addison Ulm.

Representing Snyder Junior High School are sixth graders Modesto Estrada and Jewellyssa Salazar; seventh graders Shad Hodge and Jaite Martinez; and eighth graders Gabriel Lopez and Bryant Craig.

The district spelling bee will be held at 10 a.m. at Worsham Auditorium. The event is open to the public.
