Snyder man convicted of driving while intoxicated

A Snyder man is headed to prison after his conviction for driving while intoxicated in District Judge Ernie B. Armstrong’s courtroom recently.
David Cloyce Gibbins, 54, was convicted of the third-degree felony, which was enhanced to a second-degree after he was caught operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol concentration of at least .08 on June 15.
In addition to his sentence, Gibbins was ordered to pay a $1,500 fine and $1,094 in court and attorney fees.
Gibbins has prior driving while intoxicated convictions on Oct. 31, 1991, Aug. 13, 1996 and July 23, 1996, all in Scurry County, and in January 2002 in Gregg County.
