A Snyder woman is headed to a state jail after her conviction on a second-degree felony charge of delivery of a controlled substance in District Judge Ernie B. Armstrong’s courtroom.
Mary Jane Espinoza, 43, was given a five-year sentence after entering a guilty plea. She was also ordered to pay $379 in court costs and $180 in restitution.
On July 2, 2014, she attempted to sell more than one gram, but less than four grams, of methamphetamine to Lorenzo Arredondo.
Espinoza was given a consecutive seven-year probated sentence on a second-degree felony charge of delivery of a controlled substance, which she will serve after completing her first sentence.
On the second charge, Espinoza was ordered to pay a $1,500 fine, $413 in court costs and $180 in restitution. She will also be required to participate in the TAIP program.
That charge was the result of a July 11, 2014 incident in which she tried to sell more than one gram, but less than four grams of methamphetamine to Arredondo.
