Three indicted on felony charges

The 132nd District Court Grand Jury recently issued felony indictments on three individuals.

Damonte Terrell Bryant, 27, of Colorado City was indicted on a charge of claiming a lottery prize by fraud, a third-degree felony. According to the indictment, on Dec. 17, 2019, Terrell intentionally claimed a lottery prize worth between $200 and $10,000 by fraud. 

The indictment states that Terrell presented stolen Texas Lottery scratch-off tickets for payment. 

Bond was set at $5,000.

Samuel Rubio-Covarrubias, 28, of Snyder was indicted on a charge of failure to comply with sex offender registration requirements, a third-degree felony. According to the indictment, on April 10, Rubio-Covarrubias, who was required to register as a sex offender, had resided in Scurry County for more than seven days without reporting a change in his employment status to law enforcement. 

Bond was set at $5,000.

Devin Isaak Pena, 17, of Snyder was indicted on a charge of burglary of a building, a state-jail felony. According to the indictment, on Oct. 18, 2019, Pena intentionally entered a building without consent of the owner to commit theft of property. 

Bond was set at $5,000.
