Tiebreaker used to determine top three places in football contest

Two people correctly picked 15 of the 20 games in last week’s Snyder Daily News football contest.

The tiebreaker determined the top two prize winners with Kevin Chaffin, of Snyder, predicting 47 total points in the Stephenville-Snyder game to claim the $50 first-place prize. The two teams combined for 69 points.

David Taylor, of Snyder, predicted 39 points and will receive the second-place prize of $25.

Benny Scott, of Snyder, was one of six people to correctly pick 14 games last week. He was the closest to the total points by predicting 50. He will receive the $15 third-place prize.

Honorable mention goes to Diane Beard, Liesel Gruben, Tyler Redman, Bobby Hataway and Jonathan Barrow, all of Snyder.

Winners will be mailed their checks. This week’s contest is on Page 8 in today’s edition.
