NEW BRAUNFELS — The Snyder Tigers scored five runs in the second inning during a 10-6 win over Seguin at the New Braunfels Comal Baseball Tournament Saturday.
Lance Davis hit three singles and a double while Jarrett Reneau hit a single and double with one RBI. Aaron Escobedo pitched a complete game, allowing five hits and six runs while striking out five.
Seguin led 1-0 after the first inning and Snyder then took the lead in the second.
Snyder tied the game at 1-1 on Josh Owens’ single while Logan Tate and Taylor Munkres each had two-run singles.
Seguin scored one run in the third, but Snyder answered with one run in the fourth on a Kurt Dryden RBI-single. The Tigers added three in the fifth to take a 9-2 lead.
Snyder’s final run was scored in the sixth inning.
The Tigers (7-4) will play Boerne at 7 p.m. Thursday in the first game of the Best of the West Tournament at Moffett Field.

Softball
BELTON — The Snyder Lady Tigers lost to Belton 5-1 and Waco Midway 10-6 at the Belton Softball Tournament on Saturday.
Belton led 5-0 after four innings. The Lady Tigers only run came on a Megan Leatherwood RBI single in the fifth.
Midway took a 4-0 lead in the top of the first inning. Hailey Morris hit an RBI-double in the bottom of the inning, but Midway scored five runs over the next three innings to build a 9-1 lead.
Snyder scored five runs in the bottom of the fifth. Morris hit an RBI-single, Shayde Millican hit a two-run single and Nicole Clark had a two-run double.
Midway added one run in the sixth.
The Lady Tigers (6-7) will host Lubbock Cooper at 6 p.m. Tuesday.

HAMLIN — The Ira Bulldogs lost to Hamlin 6-4 at the Hamlin Baseball Tournament on Saturday.
After Hamlin took a 4-0 lead in the first inning, the Bulldogs tied the game at 4-4 in the second.
Hamlin scored one run in third and one run in the fourth.
Emanuel Cabrera hit two singles with one RBI while Hunter Cotton hit two singles.
The Bulldogs (1-2) will host O’Donnell in a non-district game at 4 p.m. Tuesday.
