Two indicted for assaulting police officers

A Snyder man and woman were both indicted by a Scurry County grand jury on Monday for third-degree felony assault on a public servant.
Fernando Carrillo, 26, was indicted for the July 26 assault of Snyder police Officer Miguel Guerrero. The indictment stated Carrillo kicked Guerrero while he was being arrested. Bond was set at $25,000.
Erica Carrisalez, 32, was indicted for the Aug. 28 assault of Snyder police Officer Alex Gallagher. According to the indictment, Carrisalez kicked Gallagher in the jaw while he was “restraining the defendant in order to execute a search warrant to obtain the defendant’s blood.” Bond was set at $25,000.
Joshua Gutierrez, 27, of Snyder, was indicted on a third-degree felony charge of driving while intoxicated (DWI). He was arrested on June 27 and the grand jury learned he had two previous convictions for DWI, both in Scurry County. His convictions were in 2010 and 2012. Bond was set at $5,000.
