Two men die in Nolan County accident

A two-vehicle crash near Roscoe Sunday morning left two people dead.

Bobby Mack Moody, 85, of Abilene and Stephen Joshua Arndt, 34, of Clyde were both pronounced dead at the scene after their vehicles collided head-on on U.S. Hwy. 84 near Roscoe, Department of Public Safety (DPS) officials said.

Moody was traveling southbound on U.S. Hwy. 84, while Arndt  was traveling northbound when the two vehicles collided at 6:25 a.m. Sunday.

The bodies of both men were taken to McCoy Funeral Home in Sweetwater.

The information released by the DPS on the crash was preliminary in nature and no other details were available this morning.

The crash remains under investigation, DPS Sgt. Fred Biddle said.
