The Scurry County United Way will celebrate its successful 2018 campaign during the awards luncheon Feb. 26.
The luncheon was originally scheduled for Feb. 19, but scheduling conflicts forced it to be moved. The luncheon, which will be held at 11:30 a.m. at Martha Ann Woman’s Club, is open to the public and tickets are $15 each.
Reservations should be made by Feb. 18 by calling 573-5311.
In addition to presenting allocations to the eight local agencies that benefit from the campaign, the board of directors will also present Ann and Jack Smartt Awards to local citizens and businesses for their campaign support.
The 2018 campaign raised $118,326 in cash donations, including a $15,000 match from an anonymous donor.
The 2018 campaign will provide financial support to Scurry Community Services, Gateway Family Services, West Texas Children’s Advocacy Center, Buffalo Trail Boy Scouts, Texas-Oklahoma Plains Girl Scouts, Cancer Services Network, Scurry County Food Cupboard and the Snyder Volunteer Fire Department.
