Western Texas College has put a spin on its annual summer camps this year.

Instead of in-person camps, there will be interactive, virtual Summer Camp in a Bag each week of July for children who have completed the first through fifth grades.

Each day participants will have an activity and a link to a teaching video by WTC’s camp counselors.

Each week’s Summer Camp in a Bag will have a different theme, and each week a bag of supplies will be available for pick up at WTC’s College on the Square.

Art camp supplies will be picked up July 7, crafts supplies will be available July 13, science camp supplies will be available July 20, and cooking camp supplies will be available July 27. On pickup dates, supplies will be available during the College on the Square’s normal business hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Children must be pre-registered due to the limited number of spots for each camp. Parents are encouraged to pay the $30 per camp fee over the phone at the time of registration, which can be done by calling 574-6581.
