Gayle Nail

1936-2017

This is the story of Gayle Franklin Nail. Gayle was a wonderful man that was loved, is missed, and will always be cherished. He was called Granddad by his grandchildren, Dad to his son, Daddy to his daughter and Baby to his wife. He was an amazing husband, father, and grandfather.

Gayle’s story started on December 20, 1936, the oldest child to Virgil and Quida Nail. Gayle was born in Snyder, Texas. He grew up out on a farm in Dunn. He went to school in Snyder and made many lifelong friends in the community. He worked hard as a young man. He owned the Lodge at Lake Thomas, and later he worked for National Oil Well, and eventually became owner of Nail Automation. He had many years as a well-respected and successful business owner in the oil patch.

While being a dedicated, hardworking man, he also built a family. Gale met his wife Dianne in 1985. They began a long courtship, marrying May 22, 1998, in Las Vegas, Nevada. They had a wonderful relationship, full of warmth, love and friendship. They shared many great times as a couple and as a family with their daughter. There were many great memories made, whether it was just at home or on one of the many special trips he took with his family; he made life special. He loved to travel and enjoy new things. He made life an adventure.

Loved ones who preceded him in death are his father Virgil Nail, his mother Quida Swan Nail, and brother Mike Nail. Loved ones that will miss Gayle until they meet again are his wife Dianne Nail; his son and daughter-in-law Jack and Brandy Nail; his daughter and son-in-law Danielle and Ray McCulloch; his grandchildren Zachary Digby, Jordy Hildreth Mason and Mady McCulloch. He will also be missed by many special friends.

And so the story goes on until we see him in Heaven. We Love you Gayle.
