Leslie Benjamin Bohannon Sr.

1945-2020

Mr. Leslie Benjamin Bohannon Sr., 74, of Snyder, died on Monday, April 13, 2020, at Snyder Oaks Care Center.

A graveside service for Mr. Bohannon will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, April 17, 2020, at Lovington Cemetery in Lovington, N.M. with the Rev. Matt Thackerson officiating. No visitation is planned. Arrangements are under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.

Mr. Bohannon was born Sept. 20, 1945, in Golden, Colo., to William Leon and Goldie Edith (Golden) Bohannon. 

He was preceded in death by his parents and one granddaughter, Leigh Clayton.

Survivors include two sons, Leslie Benjamin Bohannon Jr. and wife, Dee Dee, of Lovington, N.M.. and Brian Bohannon and wife, Sandi, of Lubbock; two daughters, Sheila Garcia and husband, Ronny, of Snyder and Sherry Maple and husband, Geoff, of Tennessee; 15 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Patricia Bruner of Las Vegas, Nev., Loava Swaringin of Safford , Ariz., and Judy Jones of Florida.

Beverly Ann Sturdivant

1944-2020

Mrs. Beverly Ann Sturdivant, 75, of Big Spring died Monday, April 13, 2020, at Odessa Regional Medical Center.

Services for Beverly will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 16, 2020, at Hillside Memorial Gardens with Mr. Todd Stewart officiating. No visitation is planned. Arrangements are under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.

Beverly Sturdivant, “Meme”, was born on June 12, 1944, in Sweetwater to Jimmie and Esta Black. She married her high school sweetheart, Milton Sturdivant, on June 16, 1961, in Snyder. Beverly was a devout Christian who fiercely loved the Lord, serving as Church secretary for many years. Beverly was known for her contagious smile, warm hugs, love of sweets, and spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Beverly was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and two brothers and sisters-in-law, Vonnie and Jean Black and James and Velsesta Black. 

Survivors include a daughter, Melissa Buchanan and husband, D’Wane, of Snyder; a son, Landon Sturdivant and wife, Cindy, of Kerrville; five granddaughters, Shaela Talamantez and husband, Jesse, of Big Spring, Megan Conner and husband, Jesse, of Snyder, Ashley Jones and Aaron, of Maysville, Okla., Amanda Wise of San Antonio and Aarika Ellsworth and husband, Matthew, of Tuscon, Ariz.; two grandsons, Justin Williams and wife, Jenny, of Dupont, Wash., and Aron Buchanan of Austin; 10 great-grandchildren; and her best friend and sister-in-law, Gwen Stewart of Snyder.
