Candelario "Carlos" Martinez
1943-2020
Mr. Candelario "Carlos" Martinez, 77, of Snyder, died Tuesday, March 31, 2020, at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock.
A graveside service for Mr. Martinez will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, at Snyder Cemetery, with Mr. Darrell Chappell officiating. No visitation is planned. Arrangements are under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
Mr. Martinez was born on Jan. 19, 1943, in San Angelo to Alejandra (Sanchez) and Frank P. Martinez Sr. He married Ofelia Rangel on Feb. 14, 2001, in Snyder. He worked for Homco and retired with Weatherford oil company. He also worked at Skinny Chapman's Chevron station for many years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Joseph and Johnny Martinez; one brother, Lupe Martinez; and one sister, Yvonne Martinez.
Survivors include his wife; seven children, Carlos Martinez Jr. and spouse, Audie Hankins, Martha Swan and husband, James, Susie Morin and husband, Joe, Valentin Martinez and spouse, Christina Flores, Naomi Martinez and spouse, Henry Monclova, Toby Hanes and spouse, Misty and Johnny Martinez, all of Snyder; 24 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; four brothers; seven sisters; and numerous nieces and nephews.
