E.H. “Henry” Dever III

1956-2020

E.H. “Henry” Dever III, died April 22, 2020, at his home in Haslet, after a 14-month battle with cancer. 

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Hillside Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are under the direction of Miller Family Funeral Home.

Henry enjoyed a lifelong career in the oil and gas industry. He retired in June of 2018 as an operations and facilities superintendent from XTO Energy.

Henry had a passion for spending time with his family, working out, eating healthy and making a positive impact in the lives of others. His commitment and passion for Christ gives us peace and comfort knowing he is in heaven watching over us every single day. He was very proud of his three boys and cherished special time and trips with his wife.

He was preceded in death by his parents, E.H. “Dan” Dever Jr. and Freida Dever; his grandparents, Ermer Henry and Winnie Dever, and Henry and Ora Whitehurst; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Don and Wanda McAnelly.

Survivors include his wife, Martha McAnelly Dever of Haslet; three sons, Tyson Dever of Kingsland, Justin Dever of Midland and Dustin Dever of Springtown; two grandchildren, Austin Scott Dan Dever and Harper Ray Dever; a brother and sister-in-law, Herman McAnelly and his wife, Danna, of Millersview; a brother and sister-in-law Jerry Dever and his wife, Geanene, of Snyder; a sister-in-law, Karen Kittles and her husband, Charles, of Abilene; three sisters, Sharon Wemken of Snyder, Kathy Kelly of Old Washington and Terri Dever Willams and her husband, Rick, of Snyder; and many nieces and nephews.

Santiago Jaimes

1989-2020

Santiago Jaimes, 30, died in Snyder on Thursday, April 23, 2020.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Snyder Cemetery with Father Raj Arokiasamy officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Miller Family Funeral Home.

Mr. Jaimes was born on Sept. 14, 1989, in Tampa, Fla. to Santiago and Maria (Arce) Jaimez. He loved animals, especially cats. He enjoyed cooking, grilling, spending time traveling and with his friends. He had a podcast he started with close friends that was a great and close interest. He loved Marvel Comics and Dr. Who.

He is survived by his parents; a son, Nicholas Jaimes of Snyder; a daughter, Ariella Jaimes of Snyder; two brothers, Beto Jaimes and his wife, Jaclyn, of Snyder and Anthony Jaimes of Snyder; a sister, Rubi Jaimes of Snyder; a nephew, Ian Jaimes of Snyder; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Ramona Cain

1937-2020

Mrs. Ramona Faye Cain, 83, of San Angelo, formerly of Snyder, died Thursday, April 23, 2020, at her home.

Services for Mrs. Cain will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Hillside Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Larry McAden officiating. No visitation is planned. Arrangements are under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.

Mrs. Cain was born on Feb. 3, 1937, in Snyder to William Walker and Laura Lois (Riggs) Leatherwood. She was married to James Ellis Cain, who preceded her in death on July 23, 2004. 

Ramona Cain, Mona, Grandma, GG, Mom, Beautiful, Mother, etc. That's who she was to many of us. Names and nicknames aside, she was so much more. If you were lucky enough to know her, then you understand. Our mother was a protector, a disciplinary and a friend. She was selfless and sacrificed many of her wants and needs for her children. She worked hard to ensure that her children were equipped with the knowledge and skills to be competent individuals. There's countless memories that we've all experienced with her. Memories with family and friends in which we all treasure. Ramona was a special women who touched many lives, she loved her family more than life itself. She will be missed but our memories will live on forever.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a daughter, Deborah Duncan; two sisters, Lois Popnoe and Billie Mae King; and a brother, Floyd Leatherwood.

She is survived by three daughters, Teresa Allen and husband, Kenneth, of Odessa, LaRonda Trammel and husband, Danny, of San Angelo and Valorie Key and husband, Monty, of Seminole; two sons, Jimmy Cain of Snyder and Sam Cain of  Los Angeles, Calif.; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
