Ronnie Black, 70, died Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2019 in Wichita Falls.

James “Bill” Durwood Blankenship, 87, of Snyder, died Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2019 at his residence.  
Funeral service for Mr. Blankenship will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at First Baptist Church in Snyder with Hospice Chaplain Kinney Robinson officiating. Burial will follow at Hillside Memorial Gardens under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held from 6-7 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Mary Courtney
1961-2019
Mary Cecelia (Pruitt) Courtney, 58, of Kyle, died Saturday, Aug. 10, 2019 in Spring Branch.
Funeral service for Mrs. Courtney will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Miller Family Funeral Home Chapel with Hospice Chaplain Kinney Robinson officiating. Burial will follow at Hillside Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held from 6-7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Courtney was born on March 12, 1961 in Plainview to Joe Pruitt and Vera (Clark) Pruitt. She was a joyful person all the time and had a huge love for her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Vera (Clark) Pruitt, and her mother-in-law, Maxine Courtney.
Survivors include her husband, James Courtney Jr. of Kyle; one daughter, Cheyenne Schulein and her husband, Kyle, of Snyder; two sons, Taylor Courtney and his wife, Saira, and Tylor Courtney, all of Midland; four grandchildren, Elladora and Drago Schulein, both of Snyder, and Jenesis and Taylor Courtney, both of Midland; one sister, Leanne Roberson of Lubbock; and one brother, Cody Pruitt of Snyder.

Gary Fraley, 84 of Snyder, died Friday, Aug. 16, 2019.

Linda Burns-Luna
1941-2019
Linda (Richmond) Burns-Luna, 77, died Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2019.
A private funeral service will be held Monday under the direction of Miller Family Funeral Home.
Mrs. Burns-Luna was born on Oct. 24, 1941 in Corsicana to J.D. and Macel (Nokes) Richmond. She was a beautician after graduating Snyder High School and married Joe Burns in 1960. He passed away in 1995. She later married Frank Luna on Dec. 24, 1996 in Post.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, J.D. and Macel Richmond, and one sister, Diana Grimmett.
Survivors include her husband, Frank Luna of Snyder; one son, Jay Burns of Snyder; one granddaughter, Piper Burns of Snyder; one sister, Debra Martinez of Ira; and several nieces and nephews.

1931-2019
Diamantina “Diana” (Rios) Tovar, 88, died Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2019 in Snyder.
Funeral mass for Mrs. Tovar will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church with Father Arsenio C. Redulla officiating. Burial will follow at Snyder Cemetery under the direction of Miller Family Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held from 6-7 p.m. today at the funeral home. A rosary will be held at 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Tovar was born on Jan. 5, 1931 to Refugio and Paulina (Gomez) Rios. She was a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church. She loved her family and crocheting.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Refugio and Paulina (Gomez) Rios; one son, David Tovar; one daughter, Sylvia Martinez; six sisters, Bertha Castro, Lupe Escalante, Adelina De la Rosa, Catalina Hernandez, Ortencia Retha and Alicia Tena; and two brothers, Alberto Rios and Jessie Rios.
Survivors include her husband, Alejandro Tovar of Snyder; five sons, Gomezindo “Gus” Tovar and his wife, Rosalinda, Jack Tovar, Richard Tovar and Robert Tovar, all of Snyder, and George Tovar of San Angelo; one daughter, Celia Rios of Snyder; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Bobbie Vaughan
1932-2019
Bobbie Jean Vaughan, 87, of Snyder, died Thursday, Aug. 8, 2019 in Snyder.
Funeral service for Mrs. Vaughan will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Matt Lowry and Steve Highfield officiating. 
Visitation will be held from 6-7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Born on April 26, 1932 in Sulphur Springs to Clarence and Alma (Hathcoat) Cagle, she married Robert Vaughan on Jan. 5, 1949 in Hughes Springs. He preceded her in death in February 1985. Bobbie completed her GED after the youngest child reached driving age. She then worked in the cafeteria at West Elementary School and later at the Cogdell Memorial Hospital snack bar.
She was also preceded in death by two daughters, Starlett Bailey and Barbara Ann Vaughan; one son, Dennis Vaughan; three brothers, J.W. Cagle, Jim Cagle and David Cagle; two grandchildren, Aron and Eric; and one great-grandchild, Brandon.
Survivors include one son, Gayland Vaughan and his wife, Debbie, of Snyder; two daughters, Bonnie McDorman of Snyder and Velda Waliky and her husband, Bob, of Center Point; two sisters, Diane Cochran of Canton and Brenda McClure of Quitman; eight grandchildren, Regina, James, Angela, Amy, Chase, Casey, Danny and Michelle; 12 great-grandchildren, Alex, Amber, Axton, Dakota, Baily, Haily, Gavin, Brent, Kimi, Cassidy, Colby and Ryle; and two great-great-grandchildren, Brooklyn and Kyle.
