Grace Ainsworth
1933-2018
Oma Grace Blythe Ainsworth, 85, of Snyder, went to meet her Heavenly Father on Sunday, Aug. 19, 2018 in Snyder.
Funeral service for Mrs. Ainsworth will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in the Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Wayne Blythe officiating. Burial will follow at Snyder Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 6-7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Oma Grace Ainsworth was born on April 24, 1933 in Vincent to William and Oma (Sellers) Blythe.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Lou Perez and Carla Matthews, and two brothers, John Blythe and Van “Happy” Blythe.
Survivors include her husband, Keith Ainsworth of Snyder; one daughter, Sandra Matthews and her husband, Raymond, of Rockdale; one son, Jim Waters and his friend, Jean, of Snyder; one sister, Pat Robinson of Granby, Mich.; two brothers, Billy Blythe of Snyder and Wayne Blythe of Hartshorne; two sisters-in-law, Lola Blythe of Meridian and Rose Blythe of Rockdale; seven grandchildren, Jimbo Waters and his wife, Heide, Branden Waters and his wife, April, Jaime Salinas, Johnny Salinas, Michael Matthews and Rachel Bond and her husband, Tom; 13 great-grandchildren, Brianna Matthews, Alana Matthews, Michael Matthews, Harleigh Harbuck, Dylan Harbuck, Dakota Harbuck, Macael Bond, Lane Waters, Ethan Waters, Connor Waters, Tanner Waters, Jynesis Waters, Dakotta Waters; four great-great-grandchildren, Nevaeh Matthews, Patricia Radar, Madelynn Waters and Mason Waters; and a special friend, Stella Acosta of Snyder.

Connie Chavez
1925-2018
Concepcion “Connie” Becerra Chavez, 92, of Snyder died Sunday, Aug. 19, 2018 in Snyder.
Funeral service for Mrs. Chavez will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Our Lady Of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father Raj Arokiasamy officiating. Burial will follow at Snyder Cemetery under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
A rosary will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Chavez was born on Dec. 31, 1925 in Goose Creek to Heraclio and Julia Becerra.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Belia Nakamora, two brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include six sons, Raul Rodriguez and his wife, Rosa, Isidro Rodriguez and his wife, Martha, and Luis Rodriguez and his wife, Oralia, all of Snyder, Domingo Rodriguez and his wife, Emma, of Britton, Colo., Paul Rodriguez and his wife, Janie, of Abilene and Tony Rodriguez and his wife, Sharon, of Saltio, Miss.; one daughter, Amanda Hernandez and her husband, Lupe, of Snyder; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Jesse Faulkenberry
1945-2018
Jesse Faulkenberry, of Snyder, died Monday, Aug. 20, 2018.
Funeral service for Mr. Faulkenberry will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Miller Family Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Hobbs Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 6-7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Charlene Light
1941-2018
Charlene Eudell Patterson Light passed peacefully on Aug. 19, 2018, in Lubbock at the age of 76.
A memorial service for Mrs. Light will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church with Pastor Ben Reid officiating. A private burial will be held at Hillside Memorial Gardens under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held from 6-7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Charlene was born on Dec. 29, 1941 in Blackwell. She graduated from Ira High School in 1960, where she enjoyed all sports, especially cheerleading and basketball. Charlene married Morris Light in Snyder on March 14, 1965.
She graduated from Texas Tech University in 1972 with a bachelor of business administration degree and received a master of education degree from Sul Ross State University in 1977.
Morris and Charlene raised their children, Larry and Leslie, in Snyder, where she taught at Hermleigh High School and Western Texas College. She served on the Snyder ISD board of trustees for several years.
Later in her career, she worked as a counselor at Snyder High School, where she was passionate about helping students recognize their potential and achieve their academic goals. She retired in 2003. Charlene was a longtime member of First Baptist Church.
As a loving wife, devoted mother, cherished sister, doting aunt and educator, she touched many lives. She was known for her bright eyes and beautiful smile.
As Alzheimer’s gradually took Charlene from this world, she never lost her sense of fun, kind-heartedness and love for music. All those who loved her are grateful she is now healed and at peace.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Monroe and Eudell (Blair) Patterson; one brother, Glenn Patterson; one niece, Dana Kight Boggs; and two nephews, Steve Talbott and Stan Talbott.
Survivors include her husband, Morris; her children, Larry Glenn Light and Leslie Jann Light; one sister, Anita Talbott and her husband, Cloyce; one brother, Alton Patterson and his wife, Sherry; two sisters-in-law, Janeen Patterson and Jonelle Kight; her nieces and nephews, Lisa Beck and her husband, Brent, Stacy Walker, Robert Patterson and his wife, Angie, Roe Patterson and his wife, Tonya, Hayley Wilson and her husband, Clint, Page Patterson and his wife, Ashley, Denise Miller and her husband, Paul, and Darren Kight and his wife, Jill.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses, aides and staff of Carillon House, as well as Angie Guzman, Patsy Terry and Adela Sanchez for the care provided to Charlene and for the kindness and support they have shown to her family.
