Earl Dale Watts

1933-2020

Earl Dale Watts, 87, died Dec. 17, 2020.

Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Monday at Memorial Park Cemetery in Tulsa, Okla., with the Rev. Steve Lamberson officiating.

Earl was born Jan. 6, 1933, to James and Beulah Watts in Slick, Okla.

Earl graduated in 1951 from Central High School in Tulsa, Okla. Shortly after, he joined the United States Army serving his time throughout the Korean Conflict.  Upon returning home from the Army, he married Betty Dunn Dec. 28, 1956. He worked a 40-year career with Sun Ray DX Refinery in Tulsa, Okla., eventually moving to Texas. After retirement Earl worked as consultant for Sun Pipeline.  He attended Faith Baptist Church in Slick, Okla.   

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; his brother, Bill England; and two sisters, Iona Jones and Helen Quinn.

Survivors include two daughters, Kathy Sorrells and Debra Ward and her husband, Keith, all of Bristow, Okla.; his sister, Norma Jean Goodmon of Kellyville, Okla.; seven grandchildren, Payne Sorrells of Sulphur, Okla., J’Lynn Sorrells of Bristow, Okla., Kyle Kokemoor of Conroe, Ryan Ward of Plano and Sylvia Ward, Ruby Ward and Nataly Ward, all of Bristow, Okla.; and five great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to the Shriners Hospital.

Dorothy Rea Duncan

1932-2020

Dorothy Rea Duncan 88, of Sweetwater died Monday, December 21, 2020, at Sterling Hills Rehab in Sweetwater.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Haven of Memories Cemetery in Canton with Ben Hendley officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at the funeral home.

Dorothy was born Dec. 14, 1932, in the Walton Community in Henderson County to the late Claude and Ruby (Stewart) Hendley. She married W.C. Rea Jr. in 1951 and was married until his death in 1985. Dorothy then married Donald Duncan in 1992 and was married until his death in 2011.

Dorothy received her master’s degree in Special Education from Baylor University. She started her teaching career in 1958 and taught until her retirement in 1991. Dorothy then received the nickname “Doll Doctor” for her work on restoring dolls.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; her sister, Jean Watson; and her brothers, Joe Hendley, Bob Hendley and Jim Hendley.

Survivors include her daughter, Rita Kathleen Rea of Big Spring; her son, Randall Rea and his wife, Crystal, of Sweetwater; her stepchildren, Terry Duncan and his wife, Angel, of Snyder, James Duncan and his wife, Bonnie, of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Linda Walker of Big Spring; her grandchildren, Leslee Shaw and her husband, Justin, of Sweetwater, Erica Jones and her husband, Clayton, of Sweetwater, Kendall Rea and his wife, Stormie, of Sweetwater, Austin Moreland of Sweetwater, Lisa Duncan of Lubbock, Amber Duncan of Lubbock and Sean Duncan and his wife, Amy, of Snyder; and 11 great-grandchildren.

David Dunk

Mr. David Dunk, 74, of Snyder died Friday, Dec. 18, 2020, in Aledo.

Arrangements are pending with Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.

 

Robert Anson Lewis

1933-2020

Robert Anson Lewis, 87, died Friday, Dec. 18, 2020, at Hendrick Hospice in Abilene.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at New Life Ministries Church in Colorado City with the Rev. James Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Westbrook Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 7 p.m. Monday at Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
