Ronan Kiefer Harris

2003-2022

Our precious young man, Ronan Kiefer Harris of Lubbock took his last breath at the age of 19 on December 26 at Baylor Medical Center in Dallas. Following a month-long battle with medical complications from a ruptured appendix and subsequent surgeries, Ronan parted with our world, leaving his family shocked and devastated.

We celebrate and mourn his wonderful, brief life. Ronan was born on June 18, 2003 in Lubbock. His early years were spent in the Dallas area with his father, siblings and extended family and later lived at the family ranch before moving to Lubbock.  He graduated from Frenship High School in 2021. He was a sophomore working toward a concentration in Finance at the Rawls Business school at Texas Tech and a member of Gamma Beta Chi Class Fraternity where he was much beloved by his brothers. He loved the community he found there and was thriving both academically and socially at Tech.

Some of his favorite pastimes include playing guitar and piano, listening to an eclectic variety of music, poring over sports statistics, and gaming with his friends. Academics and sports came naturally for Ronan. So did his sweet smile, incredible sense of humor, compassion and kindness to others, and from the words of a friend, his “amazing soul”.

He is survived by his parents, Sean Harris and Penny Eiland; his siblings Jillian, Bail ee, and Peyton; his grandmother Sharon Willingham and his adoring aunts, Kiera and Lauren.

Services will be held on Tuesday, January 3 at 1 p.m. at Christ Lutheran Church in Lubbock. Burial will follow in a family plot. Arrangements are under the direction of Miller Family Funeral Home, Snyder. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a monetary donation to The Ronan K. Harris Scholarship Fund at any First Bank and Trust location. Donation checks accepted by mail.
