Sherlee Boudreau

1934-2018

Sherlee Turner Boudreau, 83, of Snyder, died Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2018 in Snyder.

Funeral service for Sherlee Boudreau will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Ira Baptist Church with the Rev. Mark McMillan officiating. Burial will follow at Hillside Memorial Gardens under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held from 5-6 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Born on Nov. 29, 1934 to Raymond and Jewel Alda (Rydner) Turner in Seminole, Okla., she married Archie Boudreau on Feb. 18, 1957 in Big Spring. He preceded her in death on April 5, 2012. 

Sherlee was a loving mother and matriarch. She loved her family and had a willingness to help others. She had a strong faith in God and country and was a rock for those in need. She was  the owner of The Headquarters for 30 years and a member of Ira Baptist Church. 

Sherlee was a woman of strong faith, she was deeply devoted to her family and they loved her dearly. She was always quick and eager to help others and was at her best when she was needed and was a refuge to those in need. 

Sherlee leaves behind a family who will continue to love and support each other and carry on her fearless spirit. 

She was also preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Charles Raymond Turner.

Survivors include her children, Duane Boudreau and his wife, Debbie, of Stamford, Terry Boudreau and Julie, of Benson, Ariz., Sheree Boudreau of Snyder and Joe Boudreau and his wife, Tammy, of Austin; seven grandchildren, Justin Boudreau and his wife, Stacy, of Houston, Christi Boudreau of Snyder, Dusty Boudreau and his wife, Tavian, of Burleson, Jeff Boudreau of Odessa, Brandy Oleyar of Maricopa, Ariz. and Colten Boudreau and Berkli Boudreau, both of Austin; 11 great-grandchildren, Dylan and Tyler, both of Houston, Monica, Destinie and Zoe, all of Snyder, Lexy, Avery and Zane, all of Burleson, Kaydence and Michael, both of Maricopa, Ariz. and Iona Rae Boudreau of Austin; and one sister, Donna Jo (Cline) Vuchinich of Hawaii.

Briella Hernandez

2004-2018

Briella Nevaeh Hernandez, 13, of Snyder died Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2018 in Snyder.

Funeral service for Briella will be held at 5 p.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dave Blackwell officiating. The service will be under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held from 7-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Briella was born on Aug. 24, 2004 in Odessa to Rick Hernandez and Adriana Quiroz. She was a student at Snyder Junior High School.

She was preceded in death by paternal grandfather, Sergio Quiroz.

Survivors include her mother, Adriana Quiroz and her husband, Elmer, of Snyder; her father, Rick Hernandez and his wife, Yadira, of Lubbock; four sisters, Eliana Quiroz of Snyder, Rochelle Quiroz of Fort Stockton and Aracely Hernandez and Yesenia Martinez, both of Lubbock; one brother, Cedrick Quiroz of Snyder; her maternal grandparents, Johnnie and Olga Rivera of Fort Stockton and Jesus and Francisca Hernandez of Lubbock; her paternal grandparents, Bertha Quiroz of Fort Stockton and Roland and Terri Hernandez of Lubbock; her maternal great-grandmother, Consuelo Rivera of Fort Stockton; her paternal great-grandparents, Pedro and Magdelena Garcia of Mexico; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Rosemary Jones

1920-2018

Rosemary Jones, 97, of Snyder, died Sunday, Jan. 28, 2018.

A celebration of life service for Mrs. Jones will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Miller Family Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Samuel Ramirez officiating. A family graveside service will be held prior to the service.  

Visitation will be held from 6-7 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

 

Vernest Tippens

1931-2018

Vernest D. Tippens, 86, of Snyder, died Saturday, Jan. 27, 2018 in Snyder. 

Funeral service for Mrs. Tippens will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home with the Rev. Shannon Harrison officiating. The Revs. Earnest Ray Brandon and Tyrone Durst will assist. Burial will follow at Snyder Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from  6-7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Born on April 9, 1931 in Waco to Willie Porter and Bessie (Lewis) Newsome, she married Clee Tippens Jr. on June 2, 1952  in Snyder. He preceded her in death on April 13, 1985. Mrs. Tippens was a Snyder City Council member for many years and was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church. She was a lifetime resident of Snyder. 

She was also preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Linda Sue Tippens, one sister, Eloise Smith, one brother, Jack Newsome, and one grandchild, Saundra Jackson Tippens.

Survivors include four sons, Howard Newsome and his wife, Ella, of Amarillo, Roland Tippens and his special friend, Teresa Martinez, of Snyder, Willie Tippens and his wife, Debra, of Arlington, and Clee “Trey” Tippens III of Fresno; two daughters, Joann Tippens and Myra Triggs, both of Snyder; 18 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
