Randy Badger
1951-2019
Randy Wayne Badger, 67, of Snyder, died Saturday, Jan. 26, 2019.
Graveside service for Mr. Badger will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday at Snyder Cemetery. The service will be under the direction of Miller Family Funeral Home.
Born on Feb. 22, 1951 in Waco to Warren and Florine (Taylor) Badger, he married Tonia Graham on March 26, 1975 in Snyder. Randy enjoyed riding around listening to his music. 
He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Jamie.
Survivors include his wife, Tonia Badger of Clarendon; one brother, Warren Harding Badger Jr. of Lamesa; two sisters, Belinda Farrar of Andrews and Mariles Pethel and her husband, John, of Snyder; his stepmother, Sue Badger of Snyder; two stepchildren, Lisa Garcia of San Angelo and J.T. Walton of Belton; two nieces, Adrianna Williams of Denver City and Sarah Martiny of Andrews; two nephews, Nick Farrar and Nathan Farrar, both of Andrews; four grandchildren, Larisssa, Layne, Shaun and Lorelle Garcia, all of San Angelo; and one great-grandchild, Lincoln Ramirez of San Angelo.

Bessie Garcia
1934-2019
Bessie Garcia, 84, died Thursday, Feb. 7, 2019.

Nellie Medrano
1937-2019
Manuela “Nellie” Medrano, 81, of Snyder, died Friday, Feb. 1, 2019.
Funeral service for Mrs. Medrano will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Snyder.
Geraldine Parker
1930-2019
Alice Geraldine Parker, 88, of Snyder, died Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2019 in Snyder. 
Graveside service for Mrs. Parker will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Roby Cemetery with Ray Orr officiating. The service will be under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held from 6-7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
She was born on Aug. 7, 1930 at her home near Roby. Her parents were Perry and Jewel Cummings. She married Jack Parker of Roby on Jan. 27, 1949. He passed away on May 3, 1960. She received a degree in education from Hardin-Simmons University. She worked for Sweetwater ISD for 11 years, teaching fourth and sixth grades and as a high school supervisor in the special needs program. She worked for Snyder ISD for 16 years as a principal at Northeast and West elementary schools. After her retirement, she taught adult education at Western Texas College for 10 years. She also served two terms as a trustee on the Snyder ISD school board. She was an active member of the Scurry County Retired Teachers Association and the First Baptist Church. In 2017, she received recognition from Delta Kappa Gamma as a 50-year member.
She loved all her family and friends dearly. Thank you to all who cared for her the last few years. 
She was also preceded in death by her parents, Perry and Jewel Cummings, one brother, Roy Cummings, and one son, Jerry Parker.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Margaret and David Cunningham; her daughter-in-law, Karen Parker; four granddaughters and their spouses, Stacey Parker, Lacey Parker, Kate and Andrew Johnes and Abby and Eric Stinehart; three great-grandchildren, Ellie and Evelyn Johnes, and Christofer Stinehart; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Carol Schattel
1951-2019
Carol Sue Schattel, 67, died Thursday, Feb 7, 2019, in Snyder,
Funeral service for Mrs. Schattel will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at New Life Bible Ministry in Colorado City with Pastor James Williams officiating. Burial will follow at the Schattel Family Cemetery in Snyder under the direction of Miller Family Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held from 6-7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Schattel was born on Feb. 11, 1951 in Roscoe to David and Catherine (Bishop) Hammit. She married Don Schattel on April 3, 1982 in Snyder. She was a homemaker and member of New Life Bible Ministry. She loved her grandchildren, farming, crocheting and adult coloring books.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her husband, Don Schattel of Snyder; one daughter, Lucindy Jane Nolan and her husband, Robbie, of Snyder; one son, Kenneth Daniel Hoyle II and his wife, Vickie of Rayville, La.; seven grandchildren, Katherine “K.J.” Tanner, Randy Nolan and his wife, Lucinda, Sharla Rios and her husband, Rigo, and Kimberly Nolan and her husband, Marcos, all of Snyder, John David Johnson and his wife, Brandy, of Lubbock and Destiny Hoyle and Lilly Hoyle, both of Rayville, La.; 12 great-grandchildren; two brothers, David Hammit and his wife, Doris, of Rockport and Lonnie Hammit and his wife, Rita, of Snyder; and two sisters, Pat Eaker of Tahoka and Kathy Block and her husband, Ronnie, of Snyder.
The family offered special thanks to her church family, Hospice Care employees Valerie, Mary and Shawna, and special friends, Charollette Clemons, Terri Blocker and Nancy Stansell.
