Helen Sherene Digby
1959-2021

Helen Sherene Digby, 61, died Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2021.
Visitation is planned is today from 6-7 p.m. at Miller Family Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held Saturday, Feb. 20, 2021 at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church Hermleigh with Rev. Alan Culp officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Miller Family Funeral Home at Hermleigh Cemetery.
Mrs. Digby was born on October 15, 1959 in Fort Sumner, N.M. to Sonny Shoemaker and Diane (Fowler) Teague. She married Jimmy Ray Digby on January 16, 1976 in Snyder. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Hermleigh, was on the Hermleigh school board and a Hermleigh FFA alumni. She enjoyed fishing, camping and going to casinos,
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Dick and Juanita Fowler, and her paternal grandparents, Wesley and Hazel Shoemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Jimmy Ray Digby of Hermleigh; sons, Jimmy Digby and his wife, Jennifer, of Hermleigh, Billy Digby and his wife, Jamie, of Hermleigh and David Digby and his wife, Daniell, of Hermleigh; daughter, April Garcia and her husband, Mario, of Snyder; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; her father Sonny Shoemaker of Carizozo, N.M.; her mother Diane (Fowler) Teague of Lubbock; three brothers, Billy Shoemaker of Tucson, Ariz., John McHaney and his wife, Vered, of Herlmleigh and Perry Lee of Snyder; three sisters, Roxie Robertson and her husband, Donny, of Hermleigh, Candace Jones and her husband, Bill, of Hermleigh and Donnis Scott and her husband, Trent, of Lubbock;  and numerous, nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.

Janie Ramos Delao
1952-2021

Janie Ramos Delao, 68, gained her wings Feb. 12, 2021 in Lubbock with family by her side.
A memorial Service will be held today at 2 p.m. at Miller Family Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Angel Delao officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Miller Family Funeral Home.
Janie was born on April 25, 1952 in Karnes City to Alfonso and Delfina Pena Ramos. She married Ruben Delao in Snyder on January 8 ,1973. She was a member of Jesus Rules Ministry where she sang and played the drums for the Lord.
Growing up she attended dances and enjoyed having a drink with loved ones. She also enjoyed crossword puzzles and bingo. She loved family and enjoyed every moment spent with her children, especially her grandchildren. Janie got the ultimate blessing as a grandmother, which was being able to meet her great-grandchildren. She loved cooking for her family and her favorite time of the year was Thanksgiving.
She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. If you knew her, you knew she was kind woman with such a great sense of humor. Her laugh was one of a kind, and she helped any way she could. She will be missed dearly by family and friends.
She was preceded in death her parents, Alfonso and Delfina Ramos, her brother Joe Ramos and her sister-in-law, Rose Ramos.

She is survived by her husband, Ruben Delao of Snyder; three sons, Billy Jack Delao and his fiance Kathy Marcussen, Ruben Delao Jr. and his wife Patricia of Snyder and Alfonso Delao and his wife Geneva of Lubbock; 11 grandkids and 11 great-grandkids; two brothers, Alfonso Ramos and his wife Sueann of The Woodlands and Jesse Ramos of Garland; her sister, Mary Ann Garcia of Snyder; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
