1926-2017
Guadalupe Matos, 90, of Snyder, died Friday, Jan. 20, 2017 in Garden City, Kan.
Funeral arrangements are pending at Miller Family Funeral Home.

Jasper Pence
1978-2017
Jasper Joe Pence, 38, died Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2017.
Memorial service for Mr. Pence will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Miller Family Funeral Home with Pastor John Pena officiating.
Mr. Pence was born on Sept. 7, 1978 in Levelland to Jimmy and Linda (Johnson) Pence. He was a graduate of Brownfield High School and Western Texas College’s nursing school. 
He was preceded in death by his mother, Linda Gail Pence.
Survivors include his loving daughter, Sienna Pence of Colorado City; his father, Jimmy Pence; two brothers, Jimmy Don Pence and his wife, Esmer, of Lubbock and John Pence and his wife, Tonya, of Hermleigh; and three nieces, Pamela, Posey and Mia Pence.

Christina Pettit
1980-2016
Christina Michelle Arnold Pettit, 36, of Texarkana and formerly of Snyder, died Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2016 at Parkland Hospital in Dallas after suffering a massive stroke.
A memorial service for Mrs. Pettit will be held from 2-6 p.m. Jan. 28 at London Bleu in Snyder. Pastor Tony Wofford will lead the service from 2-2:30 p.m. There will be open microphone for all who wish to share stories or say goodbye. A slideshow of pictures of Michelle with family and friends will be shown. 
She was preceded in death by one brother, Joshua Zane Arnold; her father, Terry Lynn Arnold; her maternal grandparents, Billy Wayne and Patsy Williams; her paternal grandparents, Dub Arnold and Marietta Jones; and numerous family and friends.
Survivors include her husband, Billy Pettit of Texarkana; four children, Kennedy Ann and Brody James Thompson, both of Snyder, and Teryn Lee Michelle and Avery Jo Ray Lane, both of Leakey and formerly of Texarkana; three stepchildren, Gavin, Tearnin and Pantera Pettit, all of Texarkana; one sister and brother-in-law, Erica Lynn and Dusty Mathis of Leakey; one sister, Jennifer Loyd of Medina; two brothers, Bobby Jo Loyd of Tennessee and Gerald Loyd of Kerrville; two nieces, Brittney Anne Overhulser of Lubbock and Keylee Grace Mathis of Leakey; her mother, Mary Ann Williams Lyons of Concan; her stepfather, Lenny Loyd of Kerrville; four uncles and one aunt, Mack Williams of Cedar Park, Gary Arnold and Doug Arnold, both of Snyder, and Ricky and Freida Arnold of Arlington; and two nephews, Brenden Halkowitz and Sterling Mathis.
In lieu of flowers or gifts, memorials may be made to the National Stroke Association, the Alzheimer’s Association or the American Cancer Society.
