Ottus Lavaughn Boyd , 96, of Snyder, died Saturday, Jan. 20, 2018.
Funeral service for Mr. Boyd will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at 37th Street Church of Christ. Burial will follow at Hillside Memorial Gardens under the direction of Miller Family Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held from 6-7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Manuel Herrera
1950-2018
Manuel Herrera, 67, of Snyder, died Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2018.
Funeral service for Mr. Herrera will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Miller Family Funeral Home with Deacon John Bane officiating. Burial will follow at the Snyder Cemetery.
A rosary will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Born on July 15, 1950 in Floydada to Felicita Gallegos-Herrera, he married Jesusita on June 7, 1967. Manuel loved to fish and watch football.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jesusita; his mother, Felicita; one son, Luis Herrera; one daughter, Mary Ann Morin; and two granddaughters, Victoria Morin and Mikayla Leyva.
Survivors include two sons, Manuel Herrera Jr. and Luis Leyva and his wife, Sandy, all of Snyder; two daughters, Martha Torres and her husband, Jim, and Sylvia Herrera, all of Snyder; three brothers, Jesus Mireles and his wife, Margarita, of Oregon, Lupe Flores and his wife, Maria, of Snyder and Frank Garcia of Midland; one sister, Felicia Gallegos of Midland; 13 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Virginia LeVine

Virginia Elaine LeVine, 76, of Snyder, died Saturday, Jan. 13, 2018.
Memorial service for Mrs. LeVine will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at East Side Church of Christ with Pastor Matthew Stidham officiating. The service will be under the direction of Miller Family Funeral Home.
Mrs. LeVine was born on Nov. 29, 1941 in Kilgore to Arthur and Frances (Melton) Kirby. Virginia’s hands were never idle. She was always looking for ways to creatively solve the needs of others, as well as herself.
She was preceded in death by her parents, the father of her children, Carson Dale Walker, and her husband, Robert J. LeVine.
Survivors include one daughter, Roxanne Paris and her husband, Allen, of Snyder; one son, Stanley Walker of Fairbanks, Alaska; one brother, Glen Kirby and his wife, Nancy, of LaGrange, Ky.; three grandchildren, Tricia Moran and her husband, Aaron, and Joshua Paris and his wife, Brandy, all of Midland, and Rachel Perez and her husband, Adrian, of Snyder; eight great-grandchildren; and her special friend, Marland Greenwalt of Las Vegas, Nev.

Graveside service for Mrs. Tarter will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Fluvanna Cemetery with Steve Highfield officiating. The service will be under the direction of Miller Family Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held from 6-7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Born on Dec. 8, 1945 in Scurry County to Arvil and Louella Cox, she married Billy Tarter on Aug. 2, 1963 in Snyder. He preceded her in death on March 17, 2014.
She was also preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include one daughter, Lea Tarter of Snyder, and one grandson, Johnathon Tarter of Snyder.
