Bill Baldwin
1925-2016
William “Bill” Hines Baldwin, 90, of Big Spring and formerly of Snyder, died Saturday, Jan. 3, 2016 in Big Spring.
A memorial service for Mr. Baldwin will be held at 2 p.m. Jan. 16 at Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
Mr. Baldwin was born on June 19, 1925 in Medicine Mound to James and Grace (Greering) Baldwin.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include two daughters, Paula Baldwin of Monmouth, Ore. and Sara Blair, of Louisville, Miss.; two sons, Tom Baldwin of Hermleigh and Bill Baldwin Jr. of Snyder; and 32 grandchildren.

David Burkett
1941-2016
David Lee Burkett, 74, died Friday, Jan. l, 2016 in Fort Worth.
Funeral service for Mr. Burkett will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Ash Creek Baptist Church. Committal and Masonic rites will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Snyder Cemetery under the direction of Biggers Funeral Home of Fort Worth.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Born on Feb. 13, 1941 in DeKalb to Charlie E. and Lyndell Wooley Burkett, he married Mary Karen McCraw on July 15, 1960 in Andrews. He worked as a production clerk in the petroleum industry for many years. Mr. Burkett was a member and past master of Scurry Lodge No. 706 AF&AM and a 32nd-degree Scottish Rite Mason. He was an ordained deacon, was active in the Junior Chamber of Commerce in Snyder, served as a volunteer at Harris-Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth and was a member of Ash Creek Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Mary Karen Burkett; one son, Kevin Lee Burkett; his parents, Charlie and Lyndell Burkett; his sister, Dorothy Jo Cozens; and his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Kenneth and Sarah McCraw.
Survivors include one daughter, Kami Scheller and her husband, Kevin, of Azle; two brothers, Bobby Gerald Burkett and his wife, Judy, of Jal, N.M. and Morris Dale Burkett and his wife, Lana, of Eunice, N.M.; one brother-in-law, Kenneth McCraw Jr. and his wife, Lynn, of Cedar Park; and one grandson, Kade Scheller of Azle.

Tommy Reeves
1934-2015
Tommy Don Reeves, 81, of Colorado City, went to be with his Lord Jesus on Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2015 with his family by his side in the Scenic Mountain Medical Center in Big Spring.
Funeral service for Mr. Reeves was held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Plainview Church of Christ in Colorado City with Mike Bailey officiating. The service was under the direction of Kiker-Seale Funeral Home of Colorado City.
He was born at home in Colorado City on Feb. 21, 1934 to the late Tom and Iola James Reeves.
Tommy was a hard-working man who was a very special person. He made friends with everyone he met, whether it was at the post office where he served as a letter-carrier and post master or if it was at the antique store, The Good Ole Days Antique Mall, that he and his wife, Fern, owned and operated after they retired.
He was a man who lived by the motto to “Love your God, your country and your family.”  He lived this motto as a member of the Plainview Church of Christ, serving his country in the military and by caring for and showing unending love to his wife, two children and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In his spare time, Tommy could be found with a book in his hands, traveling or spending time adding to his many collections of rocks, coins and stamps.
Tommy is survived by his wife, Fern, whom he married on Aug. 1, 1953; his two children Donna Bell and her husband, David, of Boyd and Rodney Reeves and his wife, Lanna, of Wellington; his grandchildren, Christopher Reeves and his wife, Starcia, and Jennifer Fisk and her husband, Lonnie, all of Snyder, Stephanie Bradley and her husband, Jerry, of Boyd, Johnathan Bell of Dallas, Kimberly Rodriquez and her husband, David, Thomas Reeves and Daniel Reeves, all of Fort Worth, Rachel Tralie and her husband, Jarrod, of Richmond and Samuel Reeves and Ellee Reeves, both of Wellington; 11 great-grandchildren; one brother, James Ray Reeves and his wife, Stella, of Blaine Wash.; and one sister-in-law, Elnora Mitchell.

Lou Wiman
1917-2016
Lou Vee Wiman, 98, of Wylie and formerly of Snyder, died Saturday, Jan. 2, 2016 in Wylie.
Graveside service for Mrs. Wiman will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Hillside Memorial Gardens under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held from 6-7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Born on March 18, 1917 in Hugo, Okla. to Fred and May (Stewart) Hawkins, she married John Wiman on Nov. 24, 1938 in Roscoe. Mrs. Wiman moved to Loraine at the age of six. She was a seamstress at Gray’s Style Shop.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one sister, Rachel Alexander; and two brothers, Fred Hawkins and Garland Hawkins.
Survivors include three daughters, Sue Armstrong of Princeton, Beth Minor, of Little Rock, Ark. and Nancy Wiley of Fort Worth; three sons, Bill Wiman of Bryan, Fred Wiman of Lewisburg, W.Va. and Steve Wiman of Austin; 12 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
