Carolyn Ann Barrett
1936-2021
Carolyn Ann Barrett, 84 of Camp Springs died Saturday, Jan. 23, 2021 at Cogdell Memorial Hospital.
A private family graveside service for Mrs. Barrett will be held at Barrett Family Cemetery with Pastor John Erwin officiating. No visitation will be held. Arrangements were under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
Mrs. Barrett was born August 1, 1936 in Snyder to Willie Samuel and Roxie Bettie (Reep) Etheredge.  She married Windell Lee Barrett on Sept. 4, 1954 in Hobbs. He preceded her in death April 17, 2016.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, her son Jackie Dell Barrett, her brother Jackie Wayne Etheredge and her sister-in-law Dorothy Watkins Burk.
Gertie is survived by her son Corby Barrett and his wife, Kelly, of Perryton; two daughters, Charlotte Barrett and Taina Barrett, both of Camp Springs; four granddaughters, Amy Rowe, of Sylacauga, Ala., Lacy Stark and her husband, Kevin, of Godley, Amanda Lewis and her husband, Nathan, of Canadian, and Walker Barrett of Camp Springs; 10 great-grandchildren, Kaleb, Lily, Allie, Jack, Eleanor, Avarie, Sariah, John, Augustus and Florence; additional chosen kids and grandkids; many nieces and nephews; and her sister-in-law La Nelle Etheredge.

Elizabeth McCloskey
1933-2021
Elizabeth C. (Odom) McCloskey, 87, of Snyder, died on Friday, Jan. 22, 2021 in Lubbock.
A graveside service for Mrs. McCloskey will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 26, 2021, at Hillside Memorial Gardens with Reverend Mark Snowden officiating. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 1-2 p.m. at Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home. Services are under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
Elizabeth Catherine McCloskey was born on September 2, 1933 in Menard to Thomas Eli and Mary Isabell (Beam) Starnes.
She married Roy Jacob McCloskey on March 17, 1974 in Snyder. She taught school in Snyder ISD for 37 years and retired as a teacher. She was a life member of TSTA, and a past president for the local CTA-Alpha Steedy Club. She enjoyed teaching sunday school for the Senior Seniors. She loved the book of James in the Bible. She was also an Eastern Star member.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Jacob McCloskey, her parents, Thomas and Mary Starnes, and her brother, Jack Starnes.
She is survived by her son John Odom and his wife, Robbie, of Floydada; two step-daughters, Beth Harris of Lee's Summit, Mo. and Rozanne Stark of Atlanta, Ga.; her brother Carl S. Starnes of Austin; seven grandchildren, Patrick Odom and his wife, Bethany, Nicole Adams and her husband, Marshall,
Brian Odom and his wife ,Kristen, David Stark and his wife, Nancy, Thomas Stark, Julie Childress and her husband, Kevin, Kevin Harris and his wife, Kim; 12 great-grandchildren; four nephews; and one niece.
