Joel Loper
1955-2018
Joel Loper, 62, formerly of Snyder, died Friday, July 13, 2018 in Bowie. 
Funeral service for Mr. Loper will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Miller Family Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Steve Highfield officiating. Burial will follow at Snyder Cemetery. 
Visitation will be held from 6-7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Loper was born on Oct. 8, 1955 in Colorado City to Horace and Betty (Riley-McCloud) Loper. He married Teresa Garvin on Nov. 14, 1980 in Snyder. Joel enjoyed his career in the  oilfield and coaching baseball for many years. He loved the outdoors and racing cars.
He was preceded in death by his mother and one brother, Mitchell Dean Loper
Survivors include his wife Teresa Loper of Bowie; one son, Geoffrey Loper and his wife, Sondra, of Bowie; one daughter, Wendy Dominy and her husband, James, of Bowie; his father, Horace Loper of Big Spring; three sisters, Debra Yandrich and her husband, David, of Snyder, Darla White and her husband, Bobby, of Broken Bow, Okla. and Linda Harlow and her husband, Russell, of Odessa; three brothers, Wayne Loper of Snyder, Jerry Loper and his wife, Glenda, of Atlanta and Richard Loper and his wife, Christi, of Lubbock; and nine grandchildren, Makenzie Van Deventer, Breanna, Lillie and Cloe Taft, Sebastian Correa-Loper, Bradley and Brayden Carrrisalez and Valerie Dominy, all of Bowie, and Shaelynn Dominy of North Carolina.

Buzz Rosser
1935-2018
Adrian Kent “Buzz” Rosser, 82, formerly of Ira, died Friday, June 22, 2018 in Wharton. 
Memorial service for Mr. Rosser will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Ira First Baptist Church with Chaplain Nathan Hines officiating. Burial will follow at Ira Cemetery under the direction of Baker Funeral Home in West Columbia.
A reception will follow in the church fellowship hall.
