Mr. Jeral Jay "Pete" Wishert, 78 of Stanley, N.M. died Thursday, July 16, 2020, in Albuquerque, N.M.
A graveside service for Mr. Wishert will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Cottonwood Flats Cemetery with Ron Brunson and Shotgun Passig officiating. Visitation will be determined later. Arrangements are under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
Mr. Wishert was born on Jan. 15, 1942, in Snyder to Pete and Susie Aster (Bishop) Wishert. Mr. Wishert was a retired rancher.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include two daughters, Lisha Gonzales and husband, Tim, of Stanley, N.M., and Jackie Roberson of Snyder; two sons, Shawn Wishert of Clovis, N.M., and Les Leatherwood of Lockney; 12 grandchildren, Morgan Smith of Stanley, N.M., Avery, Treyden and Tyan Gonzales of Stanley, N.M., Lacey Wishert of Lubbock, Charmayne Gellene of Lubbock, Dustin Sexton of Lubbock, Caleb, Keyleigh and Colton Leatherwood of Dallas and Carter and Taeler Roberson of Snyder; and three great-grandchildren, Keyleigh and Cutter Perkins of Lubbock and Braxton Gellene of Lubbock.
