William Timothy Jones, 64, of Snyder died Saturday, July 25, 2020.
A time of remembrance will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday at Miller Family Funeral Home. Tim will be laid to rest at a later date in Austin next to his sister and nephew.
Tim was born to Dr. Wilton Jones and Edyth (Nash) Jones on Oct. 19, 1955, in Snyder. He grew up as the youngest of three children and attended Snyder High School. In 1980, he graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in English. Tim was passionate for sports, nature and landscape, and a friend to many.
Tim is proceeded in death by his parents; his sister, Becky Jones; and his nephew, Andrew Alsup.
Tim is survived by his sister, Penny Bane and husband, Eddie, of Midland; his stepmother, Carolyn Reed-Jones of San Angelo; his stepbrother, Mark Reed and wife, Darla, of Southlake; his stepsister, Cindy Cone and husband, Steve, of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; his brother-in-law, Joe Doherty of Wimberly; and many nieces and nephews.
The family is grateful for condolences, but declines flowers and donations.
