Richard Alaniz

Richard Alaniz, 52, of Hermleigh, died Sunday, July 7, 2019 at his residence in Hermleigh with his wife and five sons by his side.
Funeral service for Mr. Alaniz will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home with Pastor John Pena officiating. Burial will follow at Hermleigh Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 6-7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Born on April 1, 1967 in Brownfield to Jesus Alaniz and Elizabeth Vasques, he married LaFonda Ford on July 12, 1987 at Central Baptist Church in Hermleigh. He was a driller in the oilfield and a cotton farmer.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Johnny Alaniz.
Survivors include his wife, LaFonda Alaniz of Hermleigh; five sons, Cody Alaniz, Michael Alaniz, Jake Alaniz, Jesse Alaniz and Jadon Alaniz, all of Hermleigh; one sister, Violet Romo of Raymondsville; and eight grandchildren.

Roxann (Renteria) Mendoza, 28, died Thursday, July 4, 2019 in Snyder.
Funeral mass for Mrs. Mendoza will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father Raj Arokiasamy officiating. Burial will follow at Snyder Cemetery under the direction of Miller Family Funeral Home.
A rosary will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Born on April 16, 1991 in Lubbock to Antonio and Esperanza Renteria, she was a 2009 graduate of Snyder High School.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Jose and Lorenza Gutierrez; her paternal grandparents, Cruz Renteria and Francisca Carrillo; and one sister, San Juana Renteria.
Survivors include her parents, Antonio and Esperanza Renteria of Snyder; one brother, Cruz Antonio Renteria and his girlfriend, Kim Rivera, of Abilene; one niece, Kayli Renteria of Lubbock; her boyfriend, Chris Sandoval of Snyder; and numerous aunts and uncles in Snyder and Mexico.
