Raydene Brown
1966-2018
Cheryl Raydene Brown, 51, of Colorado City and formerly of Snyder, died Saturday, June 16, 2018 in Colorado City. 
Funeral service for Ms. Brown was held at 2 p.m. today at Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home. Burial followed at Hillside Memorial Gardens.
Raydene  was born on Aug. 25, 1966 in Big Spring to Walter Ray and Lorena (Gray) Brown. She had been involved with the Snyder training center since the 1970s and attended Snyder public schools. She worked at the ARC garage sales since graduation and an was active in the Special Olympics. Raydene loved to shop and eat out.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her guardian and friend, Lillie Funderburg of Colorado City, and many cousins.

Lucas Campos
1963-2018
Lucas Campos, 54, of Colorado City, died Thursday, June 14, 2018. 
Funeral service for Mr. Campos will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Colorado City. Burial will follow in the Mitchell County Cemetery under the direction of Miller Family Funeral Home. 
A rosary will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. 

Elvira Castillo
1937-2018
Maria Elvira Moreno Castillo, 81, of Snyder, died Wednesday, June 13, 2018.
Funeral mass for Mrs. Castillo will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Hillside Memorial Gardens under the direction of Miller Family Funeral Home.
A rosary will be held at 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Castillo was born the second of eight children on March 27, 1937 in Big Spring to Natividad and Christine (Trinidad) Moreno. She married Madaleno Castillo on Dec. 12, 1960 in Colorado City. 
She was raised on a ranch in Vincent. As a young girl, she helped her parents by caring for her younger siblings while they worked. She loved animals and had several dogs throughout her life. She especially loved her dog Poodle. She was a very soft-spoken Christian woman who opened her home to many of her children’s friends. She treated them like her own and provided meals when asked. She was a traditional housewife who catered to her husband’s needs and enjoyed serving her family. Her hobbies included drawing, sewing, cooking, watching western movies and she especially enjoyed Elvis memorabilia that she received over the years. She especially loved her children and grandchildren. 
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and two sisters, Olivia Moreno and Terry Wilson.  
Survivors include six children, Michael Castillo of Hermleigh, Josephine Garcia of Big Spring, Melinda Rios of Abilene, Alex Castillo and his wife, Bernice, of Decatur, Madaleno Castillo Jr. of San Angelo and Emanuel Castillo and his wife, Melissa, of Odessa; three brothers, Ernest Moreno and Tommy Moreno and his wife, Debra, all of Big Spring, and Willie Moreno and his wife, Lonicia, of Justiceburg; and three sisters, Goria Mireles and her husband, Eusebio, of St. George, Kan. and Hope Lopez and her husband, Arthur, and Carmen Harbour and her husband, Jerry, all of Big Spring.

Pete Castro
1988-2018
Pete Edward Castro Jr., 29, of Snyder died Monday, June 11, 2018 in Hermleigh.
Memorial service for Mr. Castro will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home with Deborah Boyd officiating. 
Visitation will be held at the Family Faith Center, located at 700 25th Street, following the service.
A prayer service will be held at 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Castro  was born on Oct. 23, 1988 in Snyder to Diana (Rodriguez) and Pete Castro Sr.
Survivors include his parents, Hector and Diana Perez of Snyder and Edna and Pete and Castro Sr. of Edinburg; two daughters, Zaylee Brooke Castro and Ariana Braelyn Castro, both of Snyder; two sisters, Erica Jones and her husband, Aaron, of Mount Dora, Fla. and Brittney Clark of Russellville, Ark.; one brother, Christopher Rodriguez and his wife, Priscilla, of Snyder; his maternal grandparents, Ramon and Margaret Arriego of Snyder; and several uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Doyle Scott
1936-2018
Doyle Scott, 82, of Snyder, died Thursday, June 14, 2018.
Graveside service for Mr. Scott will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Snyder Cemetery. The service will be under the direction of Miller Family Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held from 6-7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Born on Feb. 24, 1936 in Collin County to John and Lola Mae (Euloe) Scott, he married Nancy Davis on Aug. 6, 1954 in Lubbock. Doyle enjoyed gardening, woodworking and trap/skeet shooting. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family and friends. He will truly be missed by all.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Nancy, in 2014, and one sister, Janelle Pritchard.
Survivors include two daughters, Doylene Gilliland of Lubbock and Gabby Pace and her husband, Eric, of Snyder; two sons, Drew Scott and his wife, Tina, and Reed Scott and his wife, Jennifer, all of Snyder; 14 grandchildren, Scott Gilliland, Tara Gilliland, Dustin Jones, Misty Merket, Jarod Scott, Sydney Williamson, Mariah Robbins, Jami Zamarripa, Brandon Scott, Jeremy Scott, Makenna Scott, Jada Pace and Waylon Merket; and many adored great-grandchildren.
