Jeanne (Rau) Cumbie, 54, of Lubbock died Saturday, June 6, 2020.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
She was born on October 21, 1965, in Victoria to Garland and Linda (Salyer) Rau. She grew up in Lewisville and graduated from Lewisville High School before attending Texas Tech University where she earned her bachelor’s degree. Jeanne was a member of Pi Beta Phi Sorority. She taught elementary school in Flower Mound where she was loved by her students. On Nov. 26, 1988, she married Jay Cumbie. Jeanne was a loving person who enjoyed cooking for others as well as entertaining others. She was a member of the Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her husband; sons, Cade Cumbie and Cole Cumbie; a sister, Elizabeth (Rau) Ripperger; and many nieces and nephews.
Arrangements are under the direction of Combest Funeral Home in Lubbock.
