Robert Baker
1957-2016
Robert Lee Baker, 58, of Snyder, died Sunday, March 6, 2016 at his residence.
A memorial service for Mr. Baker will be held at a later date in Kingston, Okla. Arrangements are under the direction of Miller Family Funeral Home.
Mr. Baker was born on Dec. 18, 1957 in Loraine to Gail and Darlene (Blackwell) Baker. After college, Robert mastered the art of carpentry and took pride in his occupation in roofing. He also made a living as a derrick hand. He also enjoyed his time in Longview, where he volunteered much of his time at the Hwy. 80 Rescue Mission and developed a strong relationship with Mr. and Mrs. Chuck Bellatty. Mr. Baker loved the great outdoors.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his grandparents, Joe and Jenny Baker and James and Samantha Blackwell; one daughter, Wendy Baker; one sister, Martha Baker Neves; and one brother, Jerry Dean Baker.
Survivors include two daughters, Amy Baker Shifflett of Abilene and Marsha Baker of San Angelo; nine grandchildren, Sadie and Jordan Shifflett, Cameron, Tristen and Trevon Baker, Kayden Moreno, Ke’Andra Giddings, Kyra Hunter and Tabby Murphrey; four brothers, Freddy Baker of Clamore Okla., David Baker of Kingston, Okla., Tommy Baker of Enos, Okla. and Danny Baker of Snyder; and four sisters, Betty Christy of Snyder, Linda McBroom of Enos, Okla., Gail A. Baker of Amarillo and Mary Grober of Duncan, Okla.

Billy Box
1951-2016
Billy Earl Box, 65, of Colorado City, died Saturday, March 5, 2016 at his home in Cibolo.
A memorial service for Mr. Box will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the First United Methodist Church of Colorado City with the Rev. Larry Bass officiating. The service will be under the direction of Kiker-Seale Funeral Home.

Bill Ellis
1934-2016
Billy R. “Bill” Ellis, 81, of Abilene and formerly of Sweetwater, died Saturday, March 5, 2016 at Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene.
Funeral service for Mr. Ellis will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Lamar Street Baptist Church in Sweetwater with the Revs. Jerry Payne and Clay Jacobson officiating. Burial will follow at Sweetwater Cemetery under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home of Sweetwater.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Gerald Snyder
1961-2016
Gerald Snyder, 54, of Lubbock, died Saturday, March 5, 2016 in San Antonio.
Funeral service for Mr. Snyder will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Miller Family Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Steve Highfield officiating.
Born on April 4, 1961 in Merkel to Gerald Lee and Shirley (Beaird) Snyder, he married Diana Palmer on April 18, 1983 in Lovington, N.M. He enjoyed woodworking, history, Native American heritage, fishing and playing golf. Mr. Snyder was passionate about sports, especially watching the Dallas Cowboys, Texas Rangers and Oakland A’s. Most importantly, Gerald enjoyed spending time with his family. His granddaughters were the apples of his eye.
He was preceded in death by his father and one brother, Dennis Snyder.
Survivors include his wife, Diana Snyder of Lubbock; two daughters, Danica Abrahamson and her husband, Daniel, and Samantha Chavez and her husband, Cory, all of Lubbock; one son, Jessie Snyder and his wife, Cassie, of Lubbock; his mother and stepfather, Shirley and Ted McMillan of Snyder; one brother, Terry Snyder and his wife, Monique, of San Antonio; three granddaughters, Hailey Snyder, Caitlyn Snyder and Lilah Snyder, all of Lubbock; and many cousins and their families.

Victor Triggs
1959-2016
Victor Triggs, 56, of Snyder, died Monday, March 7, 2016 in Lubbock.
Funeral service for Mr. Triggs will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home with the Rev. Shannon Harrison officiating. Burial will follow at Snyder Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 6-7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Born on Dec. 3, 1959 in Colorado Springs, Colo. to Leon and Rita (Garcia) Triggs, he married Myra Tippens on Nov. 8, 1999 in Snyder.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Christopher Triggs.
Survivors include his wife, Myra Triggs of Snyder; one daughter, Mica D. Triggs of Snyder; two sons, Leon C. Triggs of Snyder and Victor Leon Triggs Jr. of Amarillo; one granddaughter, Emara McCoy-Triggs of Sweetwater; one brother, Anthony Garcia of Hope Mills, N.C.; and a host of cousins in Albuquerque, N.M.

Emilie Tucker

Emilie Ellen Sorrels Tucker died Sunday, March 6, 2015.
Funeral service for Mrs. Tucker will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the First United Methodist Church of Meadow with Bill Titus officiating. Burial will follow at Meadow Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.
