Jimmy Lindsey
1946-2020

Mr. Jimmy Ray Lindsey, 73, of Snyder died Thursday, March 19, 2020, at Cogdell Memorial Hospital.
A memorial service for Mr. Lindsey will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home with the Rev. Jeremy Hart officiating. No visitation is planned.
Mr. Lindsey was born Oct. 15, 1946, in Snyder to Ralph and Lillian (Dobson) Lindsey. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a  medical nurse.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Amy Lynn Lindsey; a brother, Vernon Loyd Lindsey; and a sister-in-law, Sandy Lindsey.
Survivors include a daughter, Robin McAnaney of Abilene; a sister, Margaret Lindsey Harris and husband, Glen, of Canon City, Colo.; two brothers, Lee Roy Lindsey and wife, Chloanne, of Snyder and Johnny M. Lindsey, Simpsonville, S.C.; a sister-in-law, Heidi Lindsey Beadsley of Midland; four grandchildren, C.J. Ferard, Jessica Ferard and Anna, Devon Ferard and Molly McAnaney; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Jackie Smith
1936-2020

Mr. Jackie Smith, 83, of Santa Anna, formerly of Ira, died Wednesday, March 18, 2020, at his home in Santa Anna.  
A private family service will be held for Mr. Smith. Internment will follow at Ira Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
Mr. Smith was born on May 8, 1936, in Coleman to Simon Windon and Audrey Violet (Graham) Smith. He married Patricia Ann Autrey on Nov. 3, 1956, in Lovington, N.M. She preceded him in death on Nov. 20, 1988.  
Mr. Smith and his wife started Ira Pump and Supply in 1972. From his departure in 1990, he entered into the Brangus cattle business until 2019. He was a member of Ira Baptist Church. Mr. Smith served on Cogdell Memorial Hospital  and Coleman Hospital Boards.  He was also part of the organizing founders of the Texas Bison Association.  
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, five sisters and five brothers.
Survivors include a daughter, Sheila Harless and husband, Mark, of Ira; two sons, Carl Smith and wife, Debbie, of Snyder and Shane Smith and wife, DeDe, of Ira; seven grandchildren, Amy Vickers and husband, Kyle, Carla Robinson and husband, Cheyenne, Kristen Flanagan and husband, Tony, Nathan Smith and wife, Vanessa, Ashton Taylor and husband, Justin, Jordan Cavaness and husband, Steven and Haylee Smith; and 14 great-grandchildren.
