Lonice Hall
1920-2020

Ava Lonice Hall, 99, died Friday, March 27, 2020.

Lonice was born in Loraine to Charles and Annie Land on June 3, 1920. She was the youngest of seven siblings. She attended Loraine schools and graduated from Loraine High School in 1937. In 1941, she married the love of her life, Jabus Hall, and raised her four children in Hermleigh, Snyder and Ira, where she was a devoted housewife and mother. She was a life-long member of the Baptist church, where she taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School, and worked tirelessly in the Women’s Missionary Union. 
She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, her parents and her siblings. 
She is survived by a son, Jerry and his wife, Elaine, of Kilgore; a daughter, Judy and her husband, Robert, of Hurst; a son, Jim and his wife, Vickie, of Mansfield and son, Joe and his wife, Susan, of Evant; eight grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She filled our lives with love and laughter, and she left us with memories to last a lifetime. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Historic Scurry County Heritage Village, c/o Elyndabeth Toland, 2511 34th Street, Snyder, Texas, 79549.
