Bessie Marie (Miller) Merritt
1933-2020
Mrs. Bessie Marie (Miller) Merritt, 86 of Snyder died Saturday, May 9, 2020, at Snyder Oaks Care Center.
Services for Mrs. Merritt will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Bell-Cypert-Seale Chapel with Dr. Tommy Culwell officiating. A private family internment will follow at Snyder Cemetery. No visitation will be held.
Mrs. Merritt was born July 6, 1933, in Ozona to Charlie Eshmael and Bertha Teen (Schoolcraft) Miller. She married Wayne Wallace Merritt April 18, 1953, in Snyder. He preceded her in death June 26, 2012. She was a housewife and a member of Snyder Genealogy Club.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; four brothers; two sisters; one son-in-law, Dennis Grizzle; and one daughter-in-law, Sherry Merritt.
Survivors include three daughters, Fleeta Dianne Grizzle of Hermleigh, Kathy Holdren and husband, Mark, of Snyder and Robbi Tindol and husband, Doug, of Hermleigh; a son, James Merritt of Colorado City; a sister, Ella Bullard of Baird; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.

Shirley Charlene “Charlie” Shelton

Ms. Shirley Charlene "Charlie" Shelton, 54, of Snyder died Saturday, May 9, 2020, at her home.
Services for Ms. Shelton will be planned for a later date. No visitation will be held. Arrangements are under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
Ms. Shelton was born on Aug. 21, 1965, in Anson to Roy and Carolyn (Hunter) Sutton.
Survivors include her parents; a daughter, Lisa Green of Snyder; three sons, Michael Gaither of Amarillo, Billy Gaither of Oklahoma and Christopher Elder of Snyder; a brother, Kent Sutton of Snyder; two sisters, Nina JoNell Henderson of Gatesville and Donna Jordan of Richmond, Va.; six grandchildren, Arianna Emerson, Kayden Gaither, Patience Green, Missy Lee, and Marabee and Rosa Gaither.
